Smokey BBQ Steak Sandwiches

A juicy steak sandwich, piled high with tender slices of BBQ steak.

Ingredients

500g BBQ steak
250g spring onions, sliced
4 rashers bacon, halved
1 grated carrot
Norco sliced cheese
Ciabatta bread or bread of your choice, sliced
Salt and pepper
Olive oil
Lettuce
Tomato
Avocado (optional)

Method

Heat a medium sized saucepan and add a good splash of olive oil (about 2 tbsp).  Add spring onions and sauté until soft (about 15 mins). Toast bread to your liking. Heat a griddle pan or BBQ on high heat. Brush steaks with a little olive oil and  season well with salt and pepper. Cook steaks for 1 minute per side. At the same  time cook bacon rashers for 1 minute per side. Once steaks and bacon are  cooked remove from heat. Layer sandwiches to your liking eg. Bread, lettuce,  steak, bacon, cheese, avocado, tomato and grated carrot. Serve immediately.
