Mother and daughter team Carolyn and Dallas Davidson are the force behind Towri Sheep Cheeses.
The Towri property consists of 300 acres of scenic rural land at Allenview near Beaudesert, a purpose-built dairy with specialist milking equipment and the Towri homestead and gardens. With the peaceful country lifestyle that we have here, life at Towri is close to perfect – especially if you’re one of their 350 sheep.
The Towri herd of sheep are specifically bred for the milking industry and although this is a relatively new industry to Australia, sheep milk is prized worldwide for it’s clean taste and health. Our flock of 350 sheep includes the Awassi (a Middle Eastern fat tail sheep), the East Friesian and the Assaf (an East Friesian / Awassi Cross) milking breeds, and the Dorset and Dorper for fat lamb production.
Dallas and Carolyn create a range of boutique and 'ewenique' cheeses and yoghurt from their sheep milk.
