Hard working and cool in the face of a challenge, we’re thrilled that Kate is our operations manager.
She’s been on the eat local journey since the beginning, way back in 2010.
Kate began her catering career when she started a business making school lunches for busy parents (now there’s a great idea!). That business grew into a full-blown catering and cooking school enterprise and in 2015 she was one of the inaugural Eat Local Week culinary interns, learning from Josh Lopez, then Executive Chef at GOMA Restaurant.
Kate went onto open The Vintage Pickle Deli at Tamborine Mountain and was behind the beautiful food at The Overflow Estate 1895 at Wyaralong until earlier this year.
Kate is a Scenic Rim Regional Food Ambassador and draws on her extensive experience and knowledge of local suppliers in her work as part of the Scenic Rim Farm Box team.
As well as sourcing spectacular in-season produce, and being a logistics ninja, Kate creates recipes showcasing Scenic Rim Farm Box ingredients for tasty and not-too-fussy dishes your whole family will enjoy.
