Chinese Cabbage (Wombok) Whole
Fresh whole wombok grown at Peak Crossing.
Unlike the European cabbage, wombok has a sweet, mild flavour. The leaf blades can be quite peppery and the inner leaves can be particularly tender and succulent. It is a very versatile vegetable, often used in coleslaws and also cooked in dumplings and rolls, boiled in soups, braised in casseroles and stir fries.
