Kane is our local butcher, cattle breeder, part-time delivery guy and tractor pulling champion.
He’s a man of many talents and we’re thrilled to have Kane on board the Scenic Rim Farm Box team.
Kane and his wife Ashleah own and run The Butcher Co. Kalbar and Boonah.
They breed and raise cattle on family property at Aratula and most of the beef sold in their stores is from their own farms.
Kane also sources locally for pork, which comes from the Neuendorf family’s piggery at Kalbar.
Kane grew up at Tarome and his family always had cattle and small crops. After school he worked in the meat works for many years before joining a local butcher shop,
He bought his own butcher shop at Kalbar and later expanded to Boonah.
The Lutters breed Angus and Brangus cattle and hangs his beef for a minimum of 21 days to tighten up the meat.
Want some tips on how to cook your steak - just ask Kane. He has owned about five Weber BBQs and has recently branched into smoking beef too.
